Brilliant software – allows us to view the cost of remedial works, inspection reports with detailed inspector comments and photos of each door, and joiner reports with photos of the remedial work.
Key Features

Inspections
Fire door inspectors can use FDIS-Trak to create and view PPM reports. Doors can be added to a report through the app, and in particular, reports with a large number of doors can have their doors imported, complete with door-specific data, from the back-office through importing a CSV spreadsheet. Once imported, the doors will appear on FDIS-Trak ready to be inspected.
Door details, such as the door number, asset tag, location, manufacturer and door core etc, as well as inspection details (visual inspection, intumescent strips, ironmongery, overhead closers, vision panels, structural fire stopping, fire signage, hinge margin, meeting stile margin, head margin, undercut) can be recorded through the app, complete with information on each section.
Faults for each part of the inspection criteria can be selected, with details and quantities required, where relevant, for remedial works. Additionally, up to 4 photos per door can be added to support the doors’ inspection. These photos, along with complete inspection data, can be viewed on the fly through the FDIS-Trak PDF Generation engine, which is able to generate standard PPM reports, as well as PPM reports with a quote for remedial work on a per-door level.
Remedials
Joiners are able to login to the Joiner side of the FDIS-Trak app, and see only reports to which they have been assigned. For each report that has been assigned to them, the joiner is able to see a list of doors which have failed the fire door inspection in terms of having faults needing to be rectified.
Faults are displayed per door, and the joiner is able to use the app to view each and every fault, which is logged with the inspector’s comment. The FDIS-Trak app allows the joiner to add a rectification comment for each fault, as well as a before and after photo to show the remedial work.
All remedial work is shown on the PDF report, complete with joiners’ comments and before/after photos. Clients are also able to view progress in the form of a chart of remedial works taking place, with the chart on their web-dashboard clearly showing how many doors have been rectified on a certain report, versus how many doors still have faults and are still to be rectified.
Client Back End
Clients have a huge amount of data at their fingertips from the client back end. They’ll be given unique login details to login to a portal where they’ll be able to view all of their reports, as well as an at-a-glance status for each, showing a chart of how many doors have failed inspections, or have been rectified so far during remedial works.
For each report, clients are able to view the status of each element of the inspection, as well as statistics such as the total number of doors inspected, the number of doors that have passed, failed, or have been rectified, as well as an estimated cost of repair, if available.
From their bespoke portal, clients are able to generate full PPM inspection reports, as well as joinery reports, whenever they’d like. Clients can also export CSV data of all the doors on an inspection, or just doors that have failed the inspection.
What Do Clients Say?
We’ve been using FDIS-Trak for almost 2 years now and this has saved us so much time, whilst also ensuring that all PPM inspections are fully compliant. We’re able to generate PDF reports at any time, and we can use the web-dashboard to view progress of remedial works. A fantastic piece of software!
